BetterLoans is an independent South African loan-comparison and introducer service. We are not a lender. We help you compare options and route you to NCR-registered lending partners, so you can see what may fit your budget without applying to each lender one by one.

Our aim is simple: make borrowing decisions clearer and calmer. We show a range of options, explain the total cost — interest and fees together, not just the headline rate — and never pressure you to apply. Whether or not you go ahead is always your decision.

What we do

What we don’t do

We don’t lend money, we don’t set your rate, and we don’t decide whether you’re approved. Approval depends on affordability and each lender’s own checks.

How we make money

We think you should know exactly how a free service pays for itself. It’s simple, and there are no surprises.

A lending partner pays us a commission when your application is completed and introduced.

You never pay us. The service is free to you, always.

It never changes the rate you’re offered, or the information we publish.

Because our commission doesn’t depend on the rand value of your loan, we have no reason to nudge you towards a bigger loan than you need. We’d rather introduce you to something that fits.
